ASU to Convert Tempe Sands Motel Into Graduate Residence
Arizona State University will transform the Tempe Sands Motor Hotel into a graduate student residence named Mariposa Hall. After remodeling this summer the 59 333 square foot facility will reopen in September as ASU's first graduate housing, with double occupancy, age 21 plus, segregated wings, and limited married couples allowed with meal plans. Funding comes from self liquidating revenue bonds repaid by room and board fees ranging from 966 to 1040 per academic year.

Real estate short courses offered by Arizona School
The Arizona School of Real Estate at 60 W Indian School Rd announces short courses for salesmen and brokers. The two week basic sales course costs 50 dollars plus books, the eight week broker course 200 dollars plus books. Classes start biweekly. The basic course runs Monday to Friday with evening and afternoon sessions, and the broker course meets 7 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
