T Bird field opens at Scottsdale Municipal Airport for business
The facility near Shea Avenue and Scottsdale Road will host a temporary office trailer and mobile fueling unit while a city hangar and administration building are planned. Robert Wachs, base operator, expects 1 68 helicopters and 10 fixed wing planes to operate from the newly paved runway with tie down leases already on sale as the WWII strip is replaced.
