Titan 2 Fire Down Pacific At Sea Target
Vandenberg Air Force Base in California reports a Titan 2 two stage rocket was launched in a research test to a preselected South Pacific target. The 103 foot missile produced 530000 pounds of thrust and emerged from a deep underground silo.
