The Arizona Court of Appeals Division B let the $150,000 class action proceed, upholding that the suit by David Wick and 112 employees of the Judson School is a proper class action. The case alleges directors diverted profit sharing funds and seeks 15 percent annual profits, about $150,000 on a $1 million five-year base. No Superior Court hearing date set.

Senator Hubert Humphrey proposes legislation to allow people over 65 covered by Medicare to pay only one dollar for each prescription drug while the government covers the remaining cost. The plan aims to reduce outlay for seniors by using federal funds to subsidize drug purchases.
An unidentified Carlsbad man was killed Sunday when he stepped into the path of an oncoming train in an apparent death by self action. The incident marks the second similar death in San Diego County within a week.
