The Arizona Dance Guild will hold a choreographer's workshop session tonight at 8 15 pm at the Phoenix Little Theater. A Progress Weekend correction states the performances are tonight not Sunday night. Tickets cost 1 50 dollars for adults and 0 75 for children.
Moscow reports eight unmanned Cosmos satellites launched aboard a single rocket setting a new Soviet record for simultaneous orbital placement. Cosmos serves as a broad designation for military and scientific satellites, including weather and communications units, with Western observers noting potential spy and weapons roles. The USSR has launched over 400 Cosmos satellites in the past decade.
Burglars forced rear door and ripped a screen at 2538 N 72nd Place Friday afternoon. They stole a tape unit and $110 plus $10 in change between 1 30 p.m. and 5 20 p.m. Police report nothing else taken.
Roger A. Brooks and John Annerino were elected student body co chairmen at Scottsdale Community College. The election saw 264 of 1100 votes cast with Brooks gathering 179 and Annerino 129. Opponents were Roger Millsap and Steve Fenderson. Other officers include Donald B. Marsh as treasurer and Rita Giordano as scribe.

Police report a male in his mid twenties exposed himself to four high school girls in the Coronado High School lot at 2501 N 74th Street. The girls, in a car at 9 15 p.m., described a five foot eleven inch suspect with light blond hair wearing a gold shirt and dark pants. He spoke to them then exposed himself and left in a pickup truck.
DeForest McCauley 69 died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital. Acting director of Development and former assistant director of the Office of Transportation, he served 1943 46 as a major in the U S Army. Survivors include wife Mary Cathleen two sons Joseph D and William a brother David W three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services Monday at Messingers Mortuary with burial at Ft Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
The one year old Richard Kim Young, son of Mr and Mrs Young Kim of 2535 North 81st Way, died Friday at Scottsdale Baptist Hospital. He had a brother named Jack. Services are Monday at 11 am at Green Acres Mortuary 401 North Hayden Road followed by burial in Green Acres Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Harold Webster 74 a retired engine man from Yarnall-Waring Co Philadelphia died Wednesday in Doctor's Hospital Phoenix He was born in Philadelphia graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1919 and was a Society of Friends member Memorial services set for 2 p m Monday at St Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church in Scottsdale Cremation by A EMoore & Sons Mortuary Contributions suggested to the church Fine Arts committee Maricopa County Heart Association and to family members noted in the notice
Scottsdale police reported five auto accidents on Friday including a car bicycle collision. None of the victims required hospitalization. Incidents occurred at 76th Street and Princeton at 11:45 am, 8030 East Indian School at 12:45 pm, Scottsdale and Earls at 3:40 pm, Scottsdale and Indian School at 7:10 pm, and the car bicycle collision at Scottsdale and Indian School shortly after 8 pm.
