Space agency wins House ok but faces sharp NASA budget cuts

The House approved a $4 billion NASA program for the year starting July 1, sending the authorization to the Senate. Lawmakers trimmed the Apollo applications and lunar exploration budgets, cutting orbiting workshops and moon ventures to $253 million and reducing the nuclear rocket program to $12 million, the smallest since 1962-63.
