Arts Roundup at Scottsdale College Draws 350 Scouts
About 350 Girl Scouts from the Scottsdale area attended a day of art and learning at Scottsdale Community College. Sixty instructors guided junior level Scouts through 25 classes in crafts such as decoupage, sculpture, weaving, embroidery, painting, and theatre makeup. Lunch featured demonstrations in leathercraft, cake decorating, rug weaving, square dancing and glassblowing. The event concluded with art, magic, puppets and a Cocopah Boys Choir presentation.
