Labor groups reportedly boosted little for Johnson while Humphrey urged labor support for his campaign in Washington. Johnson allies visited Madison as Clark faced heckling over Vietnam and domestic progress. Nixon campaigned in Wausau calling for Freeman’s replacement to help farmers.
