Parents Injured In Fatal Auto Bus Crash Near Flagstaff
Three Scottsdale children died and their parents were critically injured when a 1962 Buick station wagon collided with a Lakeshore motor coach lines bus three miles south of Flagstaff on Sunday. The Schulze children aged 8 6 and 3 were killed along with Richard Dean Fife 28 of Tempe. The parents 41 and 35 remained in critical condition at Flagstaff Medical Center. The bus driver Thomas Parker 46 of Ogden Utah escaped with minor injuries. The Schulze family were visiting from Scottsdale and included a Phoenix Indian School instructor and World War I fighter pilot. The incident occurred during a heavy snowstorm on Arizona 79. Overall nine traffic deaths occurred in Arizona that weekend raising 1963 toll to 111.

Bomb explodes in San Francisco airport parcel
A parcel post bomb exploded at San Francisco International Airport injuring two mail clerks, with a fire in the airmail terminal. Wrecks injure six in two-vehicle crash in Phoenix
A two car collision at Gist Street and Oak sent six people to Baptist Hospital. Gary Lee Hall 27 and Eileen Hall 21 of Phoenix were injured when Hall slowed to turn left onto Desert Pathway and was struck by Leonard Gimlin 18 also of Phoenix.
