House approves 10 percent Social Security boost for 26 million

Body of Salt River man found burned in pit
The partially burned body of 72 year old Percy Howard was found by two teenagers in a gravel pit along the Salt River bed Monday evening. Deputies identified the Salt River Indian Reservation resident and said his belongings included about 91 dollars. Relatives noted he was last seen Thursday.

A Sioux Falls man reported $972 in jewelry including a $750 diamond ring missing from his 11 Inner Circle home after a rear window was broken between 7 and 10:15 p.m. Monday. At Scottsdale Toyota a door pry opened theft yielded about $400 from a desk drawer Friday. Tools worth $240 were taken from 4877 N Granite Reef Rd between Sunday 9 p.m. and Monday 6 a.m. A storage room door was pried open. Dr Robert Bryan reported $36 cash and a $92 set of syringes and a typewriter missing from 7025 E McDowell Rd between Sunday 1:30 p.m. and Monday 7:55 a.m.. a crowbar was used to open the front door.
