The Ride-N Rock Ranch in North Scottsdale, a 56 acre island property, has been sold to a three-man investment group from Pittsburgh, Pa. The new owners take over July 1 and will continue operating the ranch with horses and restaurant facilities as before. Mrs. Dorothy Patterson, longtime owner, will reside nearby and remains active in local zoning matters. The sale was brokered by Hal Rich of Ed Post Realty Co.

Paradise Valley School Budget Sets Record at $2.74 Million
Paradise Valley School Board adopted a record high 1967 68 preliminary budget totaling 2 738 819 exceeding last year's by 451 467. Elementary district gets 1 701 009 and high school 1 037 810 with elementary over six percent limit by about 71 000 including a 30 000 judgment payment. Increase driven by hiring adds and salary raises plus Desert Cove School equipment and other upgrades. Final adoption set for July 3 and a lease purchase with Longmark Manufacturing for a portable study hall at PV High at 3700 annually for four years, after which ownership transfers.
