Controller talks down suicidal pilot at Sky Harbor
At Sky Harbor International Airport controller Lester Massey spent 46 minutes talking a 21 year old Arizona State University student from suicide by crash to safe landing. The pilot, in a private plane northeast of Phoenix, finally landed and was taken into protective custody. Massey later met him for coffee.
