Henry Kissinger disclosed that his secret 1971 trip to China was so covert that one Secret Service agent accompanying him did not know the destination until spotting a Chinese navigator on approach. The voyage included hush hush airport handling in Peking a banquet style meals and 20 hours of talks with Premier Chou En Lai. Six injured in Hayden Thomas collision at red light
A northbound car failed to stop for a red light at Hayden and Thomas, colliding with an eastbound vehicle. James Bailey 16 and passenger Peirre O Rourk 1 were treated and released. William Orr 56 and family also treated. Kailey cited for failing to stop. Additional injuries from separate accidents included a 16-year-old Phoenix girl in satisfactory condition after a pole crash.
