Image maker Ruth Regina shapes convention looks
Ruth Regina, a makeup expert, guides the Democratic National Convention on camera. She uses cream finishes and powder to minimize shine, shape features, and ensure speakers like Lawrence F. O'Brien and Dorothy Vredenburgh Bush appear natural under bright TV lights. Her Miami Beach team Marlena May and Rudolph Liszt assisted at the event.

Save A Child League Expands Statewide Child Care
The Save A Child League marks its third year with broad statewide growth in child care support after an accord with the Arizona Department of Public Welfare and the governor. A new center at the Arizona Job College in Casa Grande serves 153 children, with a Flagstaff center opened and two more due in fall. The group plans work with the Apaches on a White River program and already aids centers in Allenville, Avondale, Eloy, Peoria, Somerton, Surprize and Phoenix. The league aims to provide day care for disadvantaged preschoolers to prepare them for public schools and says its expansion is not political, despite a bipartisan board.
