Youths face pot charges in Scottsdale residence
A 16-year-old and 18-year-old Kevin Regam were arrested shortly after 2 am on a marijuana possession charge at Regam's home after police responded to a report of juveniles drinking. A female suspect fled before officers arrived. a bag of green leafy substance was found in a rear playhouse. The 16-year-old was released to parents, Regam remained in city jail.

Phoenix rider injured learning to ride motorcycle
A 24 year old Phoenix woman, Joanne Kuhnlein, was learning to operate a motorcycle when her northbound cycle ran out of control and struck a mailbox at 2401 N 57th Street. She was treated and released from Scottsdale Baptist Hospital and cited for failure to control and operating without a motorcycle license in connection with the collision. Several other weekend accidents included two and three car crashes at Scottsdale McDowell Road and Indian School Road plus a car pickup and trailer fence incident on various streets.

Scottsdale Man Dies After Heart Attack On Way Home
John Barker 53 of Scottsdale died from a heart attack after leaving his home for his Phoenix shop. He stopped at a Mobil station on McDowell Avenue around 9 a.m. and asked to be driven home. He was taken to his residence where his wife called for help but responders could not revive him.

Arlington rites planned for Adm Hart with full honors
Adm Thomas C Hart the four star admiral who led the Asiatic Fleet at the outbreak of World War II will be buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery Thursday. He died Sunday at his Sharon Connecticut retirement home at age 94 and had served a two year interim term as an independent U.S senator from Connecticut. Funeral services will be held Wednesday in Sharon. Hart recalled his ships were old enough to vote, reflecting on fleet age.

Burglary Reports Straddle Two Dallas Homes
Police say a storage shed at the Dallas Duhamel residence on 7532 E Roosevelt was broken into between 11 m Thursday and 8 am Sunday.
