Scottsdale couple turns mail order aid into foster parent habit
For nine years Vera and Robert Goff fostered on the east side of the valley under Maricopa County. After reading a letter from Miss You Ok Park in Pusan Korea they began monthly donations by mail to support 44 orphans cared for by the International Friendship Service. Her ten dollar gift evolved into ongoing foster-parenting from afar, inspiring friends to join in and prompting a warning that such acts can become a habit.
