Brundage Rejects FAA Radar Vector Limitation in Flight 514 Case
Brundage argued radar vector guidance would persist until reaching a published route, placing Flight 514 at 1,800 feet on approach. Other pilots testified that approach clearance could let immediate descent, though many would still verify minimum altitude before lowering. Veteran captains said pilots might have acted similarly to the crash scenario.
