Hatton pleads innocent in two deaths case in Tempe
John Hatton thirty pleaded innocent in Maricopa County Superior Court to killing two 12 year old Scottsdale boys in a Tempe apartment complex on November 7. Trial set for March 3 before Judge Rufus Coulter after pretrial hearings February 4 and 7. Hatton extradited from Florida where he was arrested December 30 on a driving violation and resisting arrest charge. A county grand jury indicted Hatton December 12 for the murders of Kelly Kardell and Jeffrey Schlosser. He reported finding the boys shot to death in a bathhouse at the complex.
