Ford unveils the first of 300 Safe Pak rail cars designed to shield new cars from theft and vandalism during transit from assembly plants to customers. The system targets losses that reached nearly 46 million dollars in 1973, with Ford developing the cars exclusively for its shipments.
SunBurst parent Atlas Hotels Inc listed a fiscal year 1974 net income of 1,045,961 or 0.77 a share on sales of 18,790,623 up from 17,164,172. Atlas operates seven motor hotels and meeting centers in Southern California and Arizona and trades OTC.
