A handgun wielding man robbed the Associates Consumer Finance Co. branch at 1133 N Scottsdale Rd Monday evening about 6 20 pm. He forced manager G R Collins and two employees to a rear room, demanded the safe be opened, took about 409 dollars, and told two customers to stay down before fleeing after saying sorry for the inconvenience. Scottsdale Police said a description of the suspect as a Mexican male 20 to 22 years old, about 5 ft 10 in, 160 pounds. The manager opened the safe after Richard Wolfe failed to do so.
