Forsaken McCune House Near Busy Intersection Faces Sale
The former Walker McCune home on nine acres near 56th Street and Thomas Road is in escrow to a California developer for housing use to settle debts. Arizona State University professor William W. Phillips recalls McCune’s era, noting the derelict property with bees, graffiti, and vandalized features including cedar closets and murals once surrounding the pool.
