Scottsdale Adopts Ordinance Regulating Junk Dealers and Pawnbrokers

The City of Scottsdale enacts Ordinance No 477 amending section 11 14 to license auction houses pawn brokers pawn shops and junk dealers. It defines junk dealer pawnbroker and auction house and requires licenses issued by the City Clerk after police fingerprinting, sets reporting and recordkeeping requirements, restricts transfers, and establishes penalties for violations. A surplus property sale notice follows from the city purchasing division.
