Firemen respond to car fire and furnace fault in Scottsdale
Rural fire department answered two calls yesterday in Scottsdale. An auto fire at 4:05 p.m. caused about 250 dollars damage to Ronnie Slaxton’s car in front of Taco Bell on 7800 E McDowell Rd when a backfiring carburetor ignited the vehicle. A second call at 8:36 p.m. to the Robert L. Aste residence on Invergordon Rd at Mummy Mountain involved smoke from a faulty furnace motor, with damage confined to the motor.
