Crop duster flies 30 feet above Salt River field
Tony Serda of Farm Aero Service performs a 1200 pound fertilizer mission over Salt River Indian Reservation. He flies low with 150 pounds per acre, refuels with Kathy Beasley at 900 pounds in three minutes. Dusters say fertilizing isn’t as smelly as people think, though it is demanding and weather dependent.
