In Baghdad machine-gun fire marked renewed clashes between the revolutionary regime and supporters of slain Premier Abdel Karim Kassem. The gunfire erupted for about half an hour near Kifa Street on the east bank of the Tigris, a Kurdish area with Communist influence. Troops clashed with Communists after a sniper wounded a revolutionary army man.
