Spire Crown Tops Ascension Lutheran Church Complex
The 75 foot steel spire was welded in place at Ascension Lutheran Church at 7100 N Mockingbird Lane as part of a $500000 church complex designed by William Wesley Peters. The spire with a gold plated cross rises from a pentagon skylight enhancing the 23000 square foot building. The project marks 12 years of growth since the 1951 canvass and 1952 organizational meeting.
