Hughes kept isolated by desert hotel years before death
Howard Hughes, once tied to Hollywood stars, had no contact with women in the last decade of his life, an aide testified at the Mormon will trial. John Holmes described Hughes as an old, bearded man living behind bolted Desert Inn doors with no visits from wife Jean Peters or secretary Nadine Henley. The trial weighs the three page will naming Noah Dietrich as executor, against relatives seeking forgery ruling, and mentions Melvin Dummar as a potential beneficiary.
