Scottsdale Goldwater Office Buzzes with Campaign Gear
The Greater Scottsdale Chapter of Americans for Goldwater operates a 447 W Main St office selling Goldwater themed items. Treasurer Walter Lessmann says weekly gross near $1,000 as about 1,000 local members and 20 daily volunteers support efforts ahead of the GOP nominating race. Books and pins top sellers, with A Texan Looks at Lyndon and None Dare Call It Treason among bestsellers. The group plans nightly hours after the Democratic convention ends Aug 28 and will book conservative speakers after Sept 1 through central contacts.
