Divers Recover First Treasure From Andrea Doria Wreck
Two former Navy aquanauts braved currents and sharks to enter the Andrea Doria cabins and remove the first treasure. They say most cash and valuables remain inside the 700 foot liner as divers returned to the Narragansett support ship. Donald Rodecker and Christopher DeLucchi, both San Diego, spent six hours underwater before resting in the living chamber secured to the wreck.
