Building code mix up delays Public Services building

A mechanical engineering error in duct work for the Public Services building at Second St and Civic Center Plaza will cost the city 8100 dollars and may add 20 days to completion. The ducts lacked concrete encasement per code, and the city will cover only the extra concrete cost while contractors absorb other added costs. The $900,000 project houses the Police Department City Courts Parks and Recreation and possibly the Driver Licensing office.
