More than 1,000 new students, mostly Class of 1948 graduates, will gather at Arizona State on Tuesday September 14 for Freshman Week activities. Dorms open September 11. orientation, tests, and adviser conferences precede classes beginning September 20.
Mrs E O Brown hosted the bi weekly Scottsdale younger women's bridge club at her home on Thursday afternoon July 29 Refreshments were served and prizes awarded to Mrs Frank Cavalliere and Mrs Calvin Curtis Members present included Mesdames Alvin Brown Cavalliere Alfred Chatham Jack Crews Henry Farlee Curtis Jerry Sullivan and John Mabe The next meeting will be Thursday August 12 at Mrs Jerry Sullivan's home.
