Blaze rips plastic fun palace in Douglas
Fire at a plastic entertainment center in Douglas Isle of Man killed 41 people and injured about 80 others. Authorities fear the toll may rise with two or three more missing as rescuers raged through a seven story dome where none of the plastic exterior was initially penetrated. Police set a makeshift morgue in a church. the cause is under investigation with reports a windmill toy lit by children may have started the blaze.
