Jean Louis designs glamourous host-hostess suits for Hart Schaffner & Marx with silk shirts, while George Tankus promotes three button shapes and patch pockets. Briese offers a belted military style. Joy leads the International Design Guild making leisure wear central to future men’s dress.

Hollywood designer Jean Louis joins Hart Schaffner & Marx to create a couture rainwear collection for women. The line features water resistant coats, hats, umbrellas, scarves and silk linings, sold by Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and others under the dalle label. fabrics include silks, double knits, velvets, corduroy and Dacron blends. Louis also designs men’s fur coats for Hart Schaffner & Marx, building on his earlier work with notable clients and award recognition.
