Bouton Returns to Baseball with Knoxville Sox Bid

Former Yankee Jim Bouton at age 38 signs with the Knoxville Sox of the Southern League for a comeback. He earns 1500 dollars a month and hopes to reach the major leagues again while battling nerves and aging knuckleballs. He pitched seven innings in his first game, giving up seven hits and two home runs in a 3-1 loss. Bouton left a high paying broadcasting job and a cancelled TV series to pursue this dream.
