Arena Request Denied for Pinnacle Peak and Scottsdale
The city planning and zoning commission recommended denial of Don Pablo’s proposal to build a sports arena at the northeast corner of Pinnacle Peak and Scottsdale Roads. The commission also rejected rezoning bids at 6802 E. Pinchot to allow multifamily use and at Chaparral and Granite Reef to permit neighborhood commercial and multifamily with related changes. Approval was granted for Camelback Road commercial rezoning and a Valley Plaza plat revision to add a plant nursery for two years due to parking limits in the C-3 district.
