Through the Greenacres Association a Scarsdale resident donated a rare walnut chair to the Woman's Club. The chair, from the Queen Anne period, features gilted carved enrichments and unusual back rails. Only four existed before 1909, two destroyed in Brussels fire. the remaining two belong to a private collection now passing to New York City. The arms and crest belong to the Earl of Scarsdale. descendants include Lord Curzon. The club gratefully accepted the gift.
