Pianos Donated to Veterans Hospital by Scarsdale Red Cross
The Franklin Delano Roosevelt VA hospital at Montrose near Peekskill received two pianos a concert grand and a club size from the Scarsdale Branch of the American Red Cross. The gift was announced at the branch’s first meeting of the year on Sept. 18. The concert grand will serve visiting artists and music therapy in the auditorium while the wheeled small piano will be used for recreation on wards. The hospital, dedicated last May, has 1,965 beds for neuropsychiatrics.
