Village boards appoint parking study group and space plan
The Lowell village board accepted an ad hoc parking committee report and voted to create a group of business and professional representatives to study traffic. Manager Toooley was asked to provide up to 50 worker spaces behind Village Hall before November 16 and retain engineering services for 85 more spaces at Depot Plaza and 20 spaces at East Parkway. Hosts Sought For Foreign Student Weekend Visitors
About 60 foreign students will visit the village October 26 and 27 for Scarsdale’s 12th annual Foreign Student Weekend. Students come from around the world to study near New York City and will begin work in February. The American Friends Service Committee of New York City organizes the trip through its Foreign Student Committee. The group is to arrive in Sears.

Ferraro to Retire as Scarsdale Engineer in November
Peter M. Ferraro 55 heads the Building and Plumbing Department and Engineering Department in Scarsdale. He will retire November 1 after overseeing building codes zoning and permits, public works and developer subdivisions.
