Kelvin Evans Passes Away
Major T. Kelvin Evans of Wayside Lane was laid to rest in St. James the Less churchyard after funeral services conducted by Reverend Alan R. Chalmers. A boy scout honor guard stood over the coffin. no military pomp or flowers, only two crossed victory palms and a battered helmet. He died Sunday morning after a battle with pneumonia.

Continue to Receive Sewer Petitions
Fifty percent of the requisite number of petitions from residents in Sewer District Number Three have been received at the village hall. When a sufficient number of petitions have been received the Sewer District can be organized under the provisions of the village law instead of the public health law.
Village rejects Potter Road extension plan
The village board on Tuesday night decided against adding Potter Road to the official map from Taunton to Tisdale and urged property owners to petition the board detailing how much they would fund. Trustees said village acquisition of the road was unnecessary and would force land condemnation, which the village has never pursued.
