Duell Wins Renomination As Greenburgh Supervisor
William C. Duell won the Greenburgh Republican nomination for supervisor by a three vote margin over town clerk William H. Van Dorn at the recent convention. Duell, 78, carried on the fifth ballot 78 to 70. Van Dorn was unanimously renominated for town clerk. Charles Bermann defeated Charles Costabell for councilman, while incumbents McDowell Buckley Lawrence and Clinchy were renominated. Duell lacked party affiliation at enrollment time last Fall and required authorization from the Greenburgh Republican Committee to qualify as a candidate.
