Paper Drive Yields 50 to 55 Tons of Paper

Village Board will hold hearings on bus line franchises in Scarsdale next Tuesday evening September 24 at 8 15 in Village Hall. Beverley Benson a fifteen year old from Hartsdale captured the final round at Quaker Hill Country Club Pawling defeating George Brengle. Benson a Edgemont School sophomore learned golf caddying between rounds and once caddied for Governor Dewey on three summers. Scarsdale residents Sidney J. Weinberg of Reimer Road and Charles E. Wilson of Hampton Road received the Medal of Merit at a Mayflower Hotel ceremony in Washington. Secretary of War Robert Patterson awarded the honor in the name of President Truman.
