Gas Pipe on Fire Reported on Mamaroneck Road
A gas pipe on Mamaroneck road caught fire on Saturday afternoon reported to the Scarsdale Fire Company by a chauffeur of the Dittmars Explosive Company. Chief Dobbs and Matthews arrived with 100 feet of hose and fought the blaze.

The Central Westchester Humane Society announces its annual Outdoor Fete to be held tomorrow at Mrs. George T. Hastings home on Post Road and Gorham Place, weather permitting. Black Bear the trick pony will perform, another pony offers rides for children, and a wooden ponies merry-go-round will entertain. Car in Ditch to Avoid Runaway Horses
Remsen Cook of Mamaroneck road his wife and Miss Marjorie York of Mount Vernon were hospitalized after their car turned over in a two foot gutter on the state road north of Pawling. Two loose horses darted into the street forcing a swerved skid that toppled the auto. Mr Cook suffered multiple broken ribs and possible internal injuries while Mrs Cook and Miss York escaped with severe bruises and shock.
