Saturday morning September 6 marked the ground breaking of the new Heathcote Elementary School at Palmer and Innes Roads. Mayor Harold L. Smith and school officials led the ceremony with the Board of Education, district representatives, architects Perkins and Will, and contractors Stolle-Delval in attendance. The dedication prayer urged blessing on students, teachers, parents, and community, and the ceremony closed with a performance of America.

Helicopter Rescues Lt Sneath During Main Brace Maneuver

Police tracked the thrice convicted burglar, captured leaving Albert Korak’s Great Neck home after a break in on Aug 24.
