Scarsdale Tennis Club Finals Postponed By Rain
Rain delayed the finals of two August began tournaments at the Scarsdale Tennis Club to Labor Day. Women’s championship saw Atterbury, Howard, Gunning, Jeliffe and others advance with close set scores and finals completed after thunderstorms. The Cannons and Moore tournaments also produced close matches with cups awarded to the victors.
Sprague Daughter Weds Remsen Voorhis in Quiet Sept Wedding

The final round of the Scarsdale handicap tournament was postponed by rain and played the next week with Carter defeating Brewster by one up. Eleven Scarsdale members later visited Siwanoy Club Mount Vernon where Siwanoy won 8 to 3, with a return match planned at Scarsdale Links. Labor Day events featured Mead Play standings led by Shoaff and Nichol, Shaff earning gold and Nichol silver, plus foursome victories for Mr and Mrs Crawford. Four Knollwood caddies toured Scarsdale Links, losing to Scarsdale cadets by two points.
