Monroe Brettler, 41, of 272 Mamaroneck Road, founder of Brettler International Sales Corp., and importer of textiles and men's wear, is among three Americans killed when a Japan Airlines plane crashed at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport on November 28. The Scarsdale National Bank and Trust opened its ninth office at 561 Main Street on Friday November 24 with a ribbon cutting led by Mayor Frank J. Garito and city officials. A Rag jazz number premiered for the Smith Street Society of New Rochelle as two concerts drew capacity crowds. Visitors received kazoos and sweepstakes tickets. 66 gift certificates were won ranging from 25 to 100 dollars. The bank announced regular hours 9 to 3 weekdays and 7 to 8:30 Thursday evenings with after hours lobby 3 to 5 daily and Saturdays 11 to 2. Services include free checking Design a Check loans savings trust investments safe deposit boxes and travelers checks.
