The Scarsdale Youth Council will run a clothing drive Sunday starting at 1 pm rain or shine. Volunteers from Scarsdale High School will pick up curbside and report at 12 30 at the Scout House for assignment. Clothes go to the Westchester Center and then Church World Service in New York for shipment to needy areas in Europe.

Grasslands Nurses Get Pay Increase
County Executive Herbert C. Gerlach announced salary boosts for Grasslands nurses. Starting salaries rise to 2400 dollars a year, 2640 in tuberculosis psychiatric and communicable disease wards, an annual 240 increase for all nurses, plus 135 after one year of satisfactory service and 150 after subsequent years. William Rodriguez, twenty, arrested in New York by Bloomfield police as an accomplice in a spree robbing over 200 homes, twenty eight in Westchester. Bicycle Ordinance Offered To Board
A tentative bicycle licensing ordinance was presented to the Scarsdale Village Board by Robert S. Hackett, chair of the Scarsdale Safety Council committee. Snow Removal Contract Authorized by Village Board
The village board authorized a contract with the county to clear snow on three state highways in Scarsdale including Scarsdale Post Road Palmer Avenue and Weaver Street. This year the state will pay the full plowing and sanding cost.
