Fatal crash at Crane Road exit claims Yonkers driver
Stephen C. Speliotis, 36, of Yonkers, was killed in a 5:30 p.m. collision at Crane Road and the Bronx River Parkway on Wednesday. Douglas A. DeMarco, 17, of Scarsdale, was treated for injuries and released. Police note the intersection as an extremely dangerous spot and mention other local police incidents and a pair of fires with damage at homes.

County Legislator Audrey Hochberg will convene officials from Scarsdale Eastchester and Greenburgh to resolve the Crane Road intersection dangers at the Bronx River Parkway after a fatal crash last week. A basic solution may include signals left turn elimination or road reconstruction with enforcement of speed limits. The county has funds to realign the parkway at the Tennis Court Bridge and tighten control near the intersection.
