Thomas Andrew Maitland Maitland Rente dies at 46
Thomas Andrew Maitland son of the late James Maitland of Maitland Phelps & Co died at Valley View Farm Quaker Ridge after two years illness Brights disease. Born 1860 in New York City he studied law but estate duties kept him from practice. He married Helen Van Voorhees in 1887 and spent much time abroad. He was a renowned whip and judge at the New York and Westchester horse shows. Survived by wife and four children James Helen Agnes and David. Buried at Mulberry Street vault New York after a requiem high mass at Mamaroneck Catholic Church.
