The Scarsdale vote tallies reveal the Republican ticket won a large majority with 151 counted ballots and minimal third party support. Governor Odell and lieutenant governor candidates led, while several state and local offices reflected strong GOP performance despite lower turnout than last year.
District 9 Greenburgh shows party tallies for multiple offices including Governor Secretary of State Controller Attorney General Engineer and Surveyor Congressman Coroners Assembly and School Commissioner. Notable figures include Higgins Odell Mott Finch Wicksor Cunneen Pugsley Lee Mills Baker Wainwright Bertha Berbert and Tompkins among others.
Scarsdale Golf Club marked its biggest day as 150 visitors, 113 players, joined the course. Milne of White Plains won the Captain's Cup with strong scores in morning and afternoon rounds, while Caskey Fleming Brewster Oglesby White Carter Robinson Smith and Hardie also posted notable tallies in qualifying for October Match.
Construction proceeds on the lower Post Road line with track laying south from Klunck’s corners and a trench laid for several hundred feet. A connecting line from New Rochelle to Fisher’s Corners is underway, raising hope for fewer delays.

As results come in a Republican majority is claimed, with McClelland defeating Mills by 475 votes. Odell leads by about 1800, Mount Vernon up about 500, Yonkers Democratic by 400, New Rochelle pro Odell aside from Mills, White Plains favors Odell by 137 and Mills by 58. A well attended Halloween party at Arthur Manor featured magic music, Ruben and Rachel, a candy pull, apple hunt, fortune tellers, a ghostly dance, apple peeling, ring on the floor, recitations, addresses, singing and refreshments. Costumes ranged from picturesque to grotesque, the crowd lively and festive.
The Westchester Hunt will stage a steeplechase meeting at the kennels on Quaker Ridge next Saturday at 1 30 p m The crossing property owners who allow field crossing will be greeted and entertained with steeplechases jumping and polo pony racing followed by a collation
At the town board meeting last Saturday Mr O A Hyatt presented a survey bill of 858 40 for macadamizing work. The bill was examined and ordered paid. The board schedules its annual meeting this afternoon at three to audit town bills and collect due payments.
The game at Arthur Manor field between Scarsdale A C and a Tuckahoe team on Election Day finished in a scoreless draw. Both sides matched in weight and played a good game with no serious injuries and many supporters from both teams watching.
The Seely-Wright nuptials were held on Wednesday October 22 1902 in Greenville with about one hundred guests including friends from New Jersey New York City White Plains Mt. Vernon Ossining and other towns. The ceremony by Rev J A Harper followed Episcopal form and a light lunch was served. The couple left by 5 47 pm for Niagara Falls and returned to a spirited serenade from amused friends using tin pans guns and horns.
White Plains audience praised Dr Richard R Morrison for a powerful Garon de la Glaciere performance in Scrap of Paper by the White Plains Dramatic Club. His shift to serious drama drew heartfelt acclaim and strong applause from local supporters.
A choir has been formed to tend the singing in Greenville Reformed Church services. Members include sopranos Miss Clara Betker Mrs A C Pease Miss Hayford altos Mrs Fellows basses Mr Pease and Mr T P Setz. They began duties Sunday October 26 and hold weekly rehearsals.
