Scarsdale voters produced a tight contest on election day with Republican candidates White and Davis winning while Secor narrowly re elected by a four vote margin. Early totals showed a heated race as ballots were counted. two recounts occurred before results became official around nine o clock.
Scarsdale firemen gather as board members clash over leadership and duties. The report notes a Tammany challenge in Westchester with the GOP split and Democratic gains across several towns including Mount Vernon Yonkers and New Rochelle amid a disputed vote.
Reported vote results show multiple tallies with Yes and No counts including 101 to 57 and 105 to 30 while a separate proposition shows Yes 100 No 45. additional unclear fragments reference numbers 4 and 92.
The Hertedale town election passed quietly with Republicans winning all local tickets. Westchester County votes yield Republican gains with Mayor Fiske in Mount Vernon and Colwell in New Rochelle re elected. Yonkers sees Lennon winning mayoralty amid expected contest by Warren. Board of Aldermen split five to five with Calkin re elected president. Assembly districts favor Republicans by 600 to 1500 margins.
Amenwale will be given at the reception for Mrs G Oscar Phiffer. An entertainment with a musical speech League proceeds go to the renovation of the Sunday School room at the Hebrew Church.
